A staff member will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30 am and drive to Meknes, where you will enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside. We will make few stops along the way for you to enjoy the views of Morocco.

After a short drive, we'll arrive in Meknes. The first stop on the tour will be a visit to the medina. After that, we'll visit the main mosque of Meknes and learn about its history. We'll also take a stroll through the Souks to see how locals shop for everyday items, or visit one of the many artisan shops and markets around town.

After this part of the day, we'll head to another historical site—the royal palace (known as Dar el Makhzen). Here, you'll learn more about the city's role as the capital of Morocco under French rule (1912- 1956) and how it evolved over time into one of North Africa's most important cities.

Your next stop is Moulay Idriss, one of Morocco's holiest towns and the home of the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.

Moulay Idriss was the founder of Fez, Morocco's ancient city. As a non-Muslim, you are unfortunately not allowed inside the mausoleum, but you can still get a good look at it from outside.

The village itself is very interesting to explore and offers some great views over the countryside and volubilis on the horizon.

Today, you're going to have a truly one-of-a-kind experience. You'll be touring this archaeological site with an expert guide who will bring the ruins alive with his captivated story telling. You'll learn about everything from the city's history and architecture to its role in Roman politics and culture.

You'll also get to see some of the most spectacular mosaics ever created by human hands.

Depart back to Fes and drop off at your hotel.
